Nigtht arrives, like a travelling bird looking for a branch to rest, Thals Rico Volmar declares himself to be tired sometimes. However, he wrote that living is a struggle in the broad sense of the word. He said: "There are some who arrive, the good life opens before them, and yet others, throughout their life, will have to experience turbulence." Thals Rico Volmar is originally from the Republic of Haiti, he is the son of Paulette Jean-François and Charles Edner Volmar. The sixth child in his family, he was born in Saint-Michel de l'Attalaye in the countryside. During a good part of his childhood, he went back and forth between that countryside and the small town of Saint-Michel. As a result, he knew country lifestyle, that's why he said: "I remember that time: my birthplace was in all its splendor; there were lots of birds, there was greenery, the ravines and rivers were always full of strength, it was as if they had always been in spring. I remember it: everything was charm and harmony." However, in the midst of this childhood that rocked him, he experienced pain. His family was large - nine children - and it lived almost entirely from agriculture. His father and mother worked very hard to feed and educate them. In this modest family, Thals grew up. From a young age - around twelve years old - he went to reunite with his older brothers and sisters in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haïti. From then on, he was completely detached from the campaign so much so that it created a void in him. Thals continued his development in Port-au-Prince where he completed his school studies; he worked there for two years, he went to Cap-Haitien - the second largest city in Haïti - where he spent around six years as part of his work. It was there that he received his first university education, and he also had a child named Thamee S. Volmar, his only daughter. Thals returned to Port-au-Prince, ill and unemployed. After a few weeks, he found a job where he spent only six months. From then on, he faced unemployment and all kinds of adversity.
Thals studied management and business administration; disciplines that, he thinks, add a lot to his knowledge. However, the mysteries of life, illness, in short his destiny, were a heavy weight for him. Thals battled illness for over a decade. During that time, alas! physical and moral pain were at their highest level; failures, humiliations, poverty were ordinary things. He said: "I have known the great pain that, perhaps, some people here-below have experienced." And yet, in the midst of his pains and sorrows, he likes to serve the unfortunates, that's why he said: "I was born to suffer and to serve." Then he said: "There were three of them, they seem to be lost. They met me on the road that leads to the other side of the border, they asked me for help because they were hungry and almost without money. I bought them some food, and we continued the road together. Night fell, we could not cross the border while I only had money with me to pay the transport. We went to a hostel, I paid for a room with the money I had left for the trip. I told those three that they could sleep in the room, and I stayed on the porch of the inn to spend the night. I took a chair, I sat like a sentry, and I was very hungry because I didn't eat all day. Pain was visible in my eyes and misery shone on my face. As in fact, the butler who was coming and going looked at me, then he asked me why didn't I go and rest. I told him that I don't have any more money for paying for another room. He looked at me again, he asked me if I had eaten, I shook my head to tell him no. The butler entered a room, he came back with two small bags of biscuits and a bottle of water, he gave me. Thereby, I spent the night like a sentinel. The next day, we crossed the border, I was standing on the side of the street with those three, an unknown soldier came rushing in, without a word, he grabbed me by the neck like a thief to ask me for my paper because he thought I was undocumented; I didn't speak, and tears filled my face. They were two soldiers who pursued the Haitians; the other one who was watching came, he removed his camerade's hand from under my throat. I gave him my ID because I was not undocumented. The time was getting late, the three ladies took the bus and were leaving. I was left without money, insulted and with wounds inside me."

Thals Volmar has built his works on four (4) essential points:
Being aware of the complexity of the human being, he bases his life on impeccable simplicity. He said, man is great and is only great in front of his fellow men, therefore, simplicity, for him, is an act of greatness and goodness. Furthermore, being humble, for him, is having respect for everyone regardless of where she/he comes from, thus he said: "Not everyone deserves to be loved, but everyone deserves to be respected." Respect, according to him, is the basis and the sustenance of any relationship worthy of the name. In surplus, he believes in evolution when it is accompanied by justice and knowledge: everyone, whatever his/her origin, should have the right to live in decency, that said, social justice should be rigor here and there. In addition to the importance placed on humam relations, Thals is very concerned about environmental issues. He was born in the countryside, he loves agricultural and forestry areas. He fights for fair protection of fauna and flora.
